Socialive Off To a Strong Start

We’ve had a blast in our first month since we’ve rebranded from ClubcastLIVE to Socialive (http://socialive.us) . As we’ve started to see clients go live on Facebook and other social platforms through our technology, we’re excited to share some interesting early learnings with you.

Did You Know?

  • On average, Facebook live videos generate 2x more views within the first 24 hours of broadcast than other pre-recorded videos in their lifetime
  • On average, viewers spend 3x more time watching live video than pre-recorded video on social channels
  • There is a 135% increase in organic reach for live content on Facebook versus other types of posts
  • We are experiencing 2x more engagement than typical video content – that means significantly higher reactions, comments, and shares
  • Facebook Live video generates a 213% increase in referrals to websites

Here at Socialive, we are constantly innovating our platform to enable higher-quality production, pushing to more distribution channels and understanding ROI of live content. We recently integrated our platform with Periscope Producer/Twitter, and have our first clients going live on those platforms this month. We’re keen to see how Twitter and Periscope stack up against Facebook Live and YouTube Live, and seeing if they will be a measurable competitor in this emerging space.

In December, we have new partners going live from a variety of industries including hospitality, consumer services, and retail. Be sure to check these featured clients kicking off using Socialive on the following dates:

  • EHarmony, Tuesday, December 6th – Tuesday Dating Tips from eHarmony HQ on Facebook Live
  • Dermalogica, Thursday, December 15th – Live Product Reveal + Company Announcement event from Dermalogica HQ on 5 global Facebook accounts, YouTube, Twitter, and web

November Client Spotlight BITE Beauty went live on Facebook and YouTube in November with an exclusive reveal of their Holiday Collection. Using two smartphones for multi-cam functionality and inserting pre-roll and post-roll video, they simply enhanced the production quality of their live broadcasts and saw a 10x spike in engagement. Jack Daniel’s went live on Facebook this week, giving fans and viewers across the globe the intimacy of a Nashville sit down with Jack’s Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and Jack historian Nelson Eddy. The engagement for the Sinatra Select stream was awesome with 58k views, 1,628 reactions, 101 comments, and 276 shares, all within the first 24 hours.
