Takeaways from Future Proof Festival: advisor video is here to stay

Socialive
September 24, 2026

Financial firms are no longer debating whether video works. At Future Proof the Socialive team saw that firsthand as they demoed Catalyst. Socialive Founder & CEO David Moricca voiced some of the main takeaways in the below interview with Financial Narrative News.

Throughout the event, there was plenty of energy and great conversations around video for wealth management that centered around a few recurring themes.

Advisor growth isn’t solely a referral strategy

Michael Kitces' research on what’s actually driving advisor marketing growth. Firms that want to grow need to get much more intentional about marketing — and create more ways for their expertise to reach people.

The AI pilot phase is ending

Mark Israel, Tony Santillo and Parker Ence dug into how enterprise firms are moving from experimenting with AI to actually building it into the way they operate. The question is quickly becoming less “Should we use AI?” and more “How do we scale it responsibly?”

AI may actually make being human more valuable.

‍Mike Shannon shared new research on the state of AI in wealth management. As AI takes on more of the work behind the scenes, we think the ability to communicate authentically, build trust, and show up as a real person is only going to matter more.

Where this applies to advisor video

It all told the story that advisor video marketing is here to stay as a growth strategy. AI is making it easier and more scalable to tap into that strategy. The wealth space is seeing that:

  • Enterprises are moving from pilots to scale
  • Video can be made turnkey for advisors
  • Compliance can be baked into video creation

Moricca's interview with Financial Narrative News goes through how firms are taking action on these insights, and how Catalyst is becoming essential to the advisor's toolkit.
