Socialive introduces Catalyst to transform the video creation experience

New AI prompt-based video creation engine connects all parts of the video creation journey — from ideation to publishing and everything in between.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — September 10, 2026 — Socialive, the AI-first enterprise video creation platform, today announced the launch of early access to Catalyst, its new AI prompt-based video creation engine designed to dramatically simplify how organizations create video at scale.

Beginning this month, a select group of Socialive customers will gain early access to Catalyst as part of the company’s beta program, providing feedback and helping shape the experience ahead of broader availability. Socialive expects to make Catalyst generally available in October 2026.

Catalyst represents the next evolution of Socialive’s mission to make enterprise video dramatically easier to create.

While generative AI has made it easier than ever to create individual pieces of content, enterprise video remains complex. Creating high-quality video at scale requires coordinating people, AI, production workflows, brand standards, compliance, approvals, enterprise controls, and publishing.

Catalyst brings those pieces together.

Instead of requiring users to navigate different tools and workflows, Catalyst provides a single, conversational entry point into the Socialive platform. Users simply describe what they want to create, and Catalyst helps orchestrate the work required to bring that vision to life.

Catalyst is designed for both experienced video creators who know exactly what they want and people who need more guidance. It begins by developing a project plan through a conversational exchange, gathering the information, assets, brand requirements, and creative direction needed before content is generated.

This prompt-guided approach gives users greater control over the outcome while reducing unnecessary rounds of generation and revision.

“AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to creating content, but it hasn’t solved the complexity of creating video at enterprise scale,” said David Moricca, Founder and CEO of Socialive. “Enterprise video requires coordinating people, workflows, branding, compliance, approvals, and distribution. Catalyst brings those pieces together into a single AI-first experience, allowing organizations to focus on communicating instead of managing production.”

Built on Socialive’s enterprise video platform, Catalyst connects the capabilities organizations need throughout the video creation journey — from ideation and production to post-production, approval, and publishing.

With Catalyst, organizations will be able to:

  • Create video through natural-language prompts
  • Receive guidance based on their level of video proficiency
  • Generate ideas, topics, scripts, visuals, and clips
  • Turn static content and existing media into video
  • Automate branded templates and creative requirements
  • Transform existing long-form content into new video assets

The vision for Catalyst goes beyond prompt-based video creation. Catalyst will ultimately orchestrate the entire video creation journey — from scheduling and producing a thought leadership interview to turning a webinar into social-ready clips, creating branded video from existing content, routing assets through compliance review, and publishing approved content across enterprise systems.

The result is a more intuitive way for organizations to create more video without sacrificing the authenticity, brand consistency, governance, and control required by the enterprise.

Catalyst is also designed to address one of the emerging challenges of generative AI: unpredictable output and the cost of repeated generation. By creating a project plan and allowing users to refine their direction before generation begins, Catalyst is designed to use AI resources more efficiently while improving the predictability of the final output.

“One major issue for enterprise firms using AI is the randomness of the output,” said Ben Davenport, CTO of Socialive. “By building decision logic and rule-based failsafes into Catalyst, we can create greater predictability without sacrificing creativity or uniqueness. That feeling of not quite getting what you asked for is frustrating for people new to AI prompting — and costly for businesses when repeated generations consume unnecessary resources.”

Catalyst builds on the Socialive platform organizations already use to create, record, edit, manage, and distribute video. Rather than replacing those capabilities, Catalyst creates an intelligent orchestration layer across them, making the entire platform dramatically easier to use.

Early access to Catalyst begins in September with select Socialive customers, with general availability planned for October 2026.
